While attemping to watch the evening news, I was subjected to ELEVEN political ads. One was shown twice in one commercial break, with an ad for her opponent in between. These people are running for Congress in a different district than the one that I live in. They are arguing over whether Darcy Burner’s computer science [...]

I was pleasantly surprised by the grace, enthusiasm and conviction that she displayed. I have never thought of her as an engaging speaker and believed that it [...]

I hold long resentment and anger about the hypocrisy of telling adults they are old enough to decide who should lead our nation but not old enough to drink. I get infuriated that these young adults are asked to serve and die for their country but are not deemed mature enough to handle a glass [...]

I applaud Obama’s speech today acknowledging the race issue in America. Humans fear what they don’t know and that which is different from themselves. To say that race, socio-economic status, gender, religion doesn’t matter to us is naive and dangerous. It has been true throughout history and seems to be part of the human condition. Ignoring [...]

Community Health Clinics provides a variety of primary health care and dental care on a sliding scale fee. I have received excellent care from Steve Dreseng MD at the Greenwood Medical Center when I was unemployed and uninsured, when I was on Medicaid and now that I am on Medicare. Regardless of my financial circumstances, the [...]

Surprise, surprise, once again Bush has decided to disregard decency and common sense in favor of his all consuming war on terror. Once again, I am blogging about man’s inhumanity to man. Terrorists kill people that is a fact and cause great destruction. It sure would be nice to do something to stop this atrocity [...]
